THE ESSENCE OF TRUTH!
(We can trust our Lord. He is absolutely faithful and true. Into His hand we can commit our spirit, for He has ransomed us from the grave.)
Our Lord is the essence of truth -- He cannot lie; He is absolutely faithful. How great is that faithfulness?
Well, for a start, He is reliable and trustworthy; He will always be there when we need Him. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. In this promise we can earnestly rest. Our Lord is absolutely unquestionable in every circumstance. If He makes a promise, we can always be sure that His faithfulness will see it through. Nothing happens beyond the reach, power and knowledge of the almighty God. He does not change in His person, His being, His perfection, purpose, plans or power. We can place our complete trust in God ... for He loves us!
The Lord Jesus said in John 15, "Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you; abide in my love." Just how much do you think the Father loves the Son? WITH AN ABSOLUTE ETERNAL INCOMPARABLE LOVE! May your heart rejoice (with jubilant praise), for as the Lord Jesus is intensely loved by the Father, we, too, are fervently loved (Calvary cries loudly of it).
BLESS THE LORD, 'O MY SOUL -- BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!
The Lord has forgiven all our iniquities; it is He who redeemed our lives from destruction and crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Our Lord is merciful and gracious. He has not dealt with us according to our sins; neither has He rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy (from everlasting to everlasting) toward those who love Him. For He knows their frame; He remembers that they are but dust. The Lord is very great; He is clothed with honor and majesty.
Give thanks unto the Lord and call upon His name daily. Tell your friends and colleagues of His wondrous works and deeds. Sing songs of rejoicing, praise, adoration and love unto Him; glory ye in His mighty holy name!
LOVE WHAT IS RIGHT
God has taken us from the world. He has set us apart for a higher purpose, and will prepare us to live, by His mighty power, in a glorious land some sweet and wondrous day, so ...
Love what is right; think upon the Lord with goodness, and in simplicity of heart seek after Him -- for He will be found of them that never tempt Him, and will show Himself unto those who do not distrust Him.
WORKS OF POETRY
AS JESUS STOOPED FOR THEE
Bow thyself in lowliness at His feet,
Be humbled in the awareness of thine own affliction:
Be not as that pompous man of pride,
For as His blood dropped, you were forgiven.
His love fell upon all the world ...
Count the drops by which you have been cleansed;
Know of the throes of His inward grief,
Though He be innocent; though you have sinned.
Was He not stripped of His robe of honor,
And when naked fastened to a cross?
Did He not pour out His life's blood,
Giving much gain, yet to His loss?
Yes, amid the wretchedness of our lowly state,
He lived and died and rose again;
Then as a dove with perfect wings of gold and silver,
Ascended to the Father, now interceding for men.
As Jesus stooped for thee,
Stoop also for thy neighbor;
Reflect God's likeness in thy life ...
It is an offering of a sweet, sweet savor.
LEAP FOR JOY OF HEART
As David danced before the Covenant Ark
Great love and gratitude was declared
For He had been anointed by a holy hand
And for him there was none compared.
.
He leapt for joy ~ it emanated from his heart
Sweet dancing and happiness did abound
His smile was gracious and His soul gratified
Yet from his lips no utterance of sound.
His dancing was before the One he loved
'Twas done with simplicity and sincerity
His feet leapt swiftly as his eyes glanced upward
... all for Thee, my Lord, all for Thee.
